The UVa football team gets a big challenge this weekend kicking off the season against BYU.
The cougars run an up-tempo no-huddle offense.
They also have two preseason All-American candidates in linebacker Kyle Von Noy and wide receiver Cody Hoffman.
Less than 4,000 tickets remain for Saturday's season opener at Scott Stadium.
Junior Zachery Swanson is listed atop the depth chart at tight end with Jake McGee third, but coach London says don't read too much into that.
London says Virginia will likely play at least seven true freshman this season, including running back Smoke Mizzell.
Both Virginia and BYU have new offensive coordinators this season, so no one knows exactly what to expect.
London said, "we have a tradition of winning and with that comes a lot of confidence. Even though this is an on the road game for them, quite a bit of travel. They have a team that has experienced guys. They can play games at their own place, and play big games on the road. They challenge for us with the players we have is at least to make sure that we handle our business." Senior Linebacker Luke Bowanko added, "I think guys are feeling fresh and ready to hit somebody other than, for me, Brent Urban, for once in my life. There's a lot of excitement in the locker room, a lot of buzz. That's the great thing about college football, is that first game comes around and the whole nation kind of gets a good vibe going."
