CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. (AP) - University of Virginia officials expect a busy weekend as about 6,000 students are set to check into university housing, including first-year residence halls.

About 400 student greeters will be available near the first-year dorms to help with the move. Many upperclassmen and student-athletes already are on campus.

The crush begins Friday, the first official day of move-in weekend. Charlottesville and Albemarle County police will assist campus police with traffic control.

Rebecca White is the university's parking and transportation director. She says families will be asked to unload within 30 minutes, then relocate to long-term parking at Scott Stadium.
