ORANGE, Va. (AP) - James Madison's Montpelier has added a new component to its annual celebration of the signing of the Constitution: Wine.
The Orange County tourist attraction's annual Constitution Day Celebration on Sept. 21 for the first time will include the Taste of Freedom Wine Festival.
Festivities celebrating the 226th anniversary of the signing of the Constitution will include mansion tours, wagon rides, children's games and activities, live music and the second annual Liberty Ride Horse Parade. The wine festival will bring together Virginia wineries, cider houses, breweries and artisans. A fireworks display on the mansion's front lawn will cap the day's events.
