Trial Set for Staunton Man Charged with Unlawful Wounding

Posted: Updated:

A Staunton man accused of stabbing his neighbor is going to trial.

Dewey Lee Bowers III, 36, is charged with unlawful wounding and will stand before a judge in October.

Police say Bowers was fighting with a neighbor last winter over stolen property when he allegedly stabbed the 22-year-old victim in the stomach with a kitchen knife.

Bowers is first going to trial in September for grand and petit larceny.
