An old office building in Charlottesville will be knocked down and replaced by an apartment complex.

The Board of Architectural Review voted Tuesday night to demolish Republic Plaza, a 25-year-old office building on West Main Street near the University of Virginia Medical Center. The three-story building currently houses various offices.
