ORIGINAL: Staunton police say they are following up on a series of leads after a 13-year-old girl vanished from her home Saturday morning.
Investigators believe Sabrina Lynn Terry is likely a runaway but say she could still be in serious danger, as young teens are often targets for predators and human traffickers. That's why they want a swift resolution - regardless of how Terry disappeared.
"We treat it as a missing person, and at her age having just turned 13 in July, that's of special concern to us. Probably a runaway, but we don't ever exclude any possibilities," said Lisa Klein spokeswoman for the Staunton Police Department.
Terry is 5 feet 1 inch tall, weighs 115 pounds and has blonde hair.
