A former employee of Staunton's Frontier Culture Museum pleaded guilty Monday to embezzling from the museum.
Michael Sutton, 41, admitted to using a state credit card to buy supplies for a baseball team over a three-year period. Prosecutors say Sutton purchased trophies, baseball caps, jerseys and other merchandise totaling over $34,000. They say he tried to cover his tracks with fake invoices.
Sutton faces 360 years in prison when he is sentenced.
