Former UVa women's golfer Lauren Coughlin is in Richmond this weekend, playing as an amateur in the Eagle Classic.
The tournament is part of the Symetra Tour, which is the minor leagues of women's golf.
Coughlin was +3 after Friday's first round, and is the low amateur in the field.
"The back nine is a lot harder," says Coughlin. "I was just trying to minimize the damage as much as possible. I had kind of a rough start. I was kind of nervous and pumped up at first, then I stuck around, and did a lot better on the back nine. I'm just out here for fun, and I don't really have to worry about anything. It's kind of nice to see I can of hold my own with all the pro's too."
