Ontario-native Trent Corney is a 6'3", 250 pound defensive end
The Virginia football team is more than halfway through the first week of practice.
Freshman running back Taquan "Smoke" Mizzell has been the talk of camp, with spectacular runs one offense.
On the defensive side of the ball, sophomore defensive end Trent Corney has been very impressive.
The Ontario, Canada-native had an interception return for touchdown on Wednesday, and head coach Mike London said Corney has been one of the Cavaliers' biggest surprises.
"He has picked up everything," says London. "The terminology, the concepts, and actually, you saw a couple of times, where he took an interception, took it to the house. He understands how to play the defensive end position. He's improving. Right now, I'd say maybe he and Robert Burns are the surprise of the early camp."
