Jane Dittmar to Run for Scottsville Seat on Albemarle BOS
A longtime Albemarle County resident announced her candidacy for the Board of Supervisors Wednesday.
Jane Dittmar is running as a Democrat for the Scottsville District seat that Chris Dumler filled. Dittmar has lived in Scottsville for 15 years.
She says if elected she wants to get discussion going about the area's infrastructure issues.
"We have infrastructure issues we need to be talking about - water and local roads, I've already heard about speed limits and traffic lights and dangerous curbs, so I want to, that's the sort of thing I like doing. We can actually have a tangible result," said Dittmar.
Dittmar says she believes the town of Scottsville is fatigued after Dumler leaving the board and says she hopes to move things forward.
