FARMVILLE, Va. (AP) - Virginia growers say their melon crops are doing well, despite a large amount of rainfall.
Bobby Vaughan grows cantaloupes, canary melons and water melons in Virginia Beach. He says his melons are looking good.
While insects are a problem, Vaughan says they haven't been bad.
Cumberland County grower Rob French says he had to plant late. But this year's crop is good, considering the rain.
