Libertarian Candidate for Governor Traveling to Meet Voters
Libertarian candidate Robert Sarvis
The libertarian candidate for Virginia governor is traveling the commonwealth to meet voters.
Robert Sarvis shook hands at the Louisa County fair Saturday. Sarvis says he believes enough Virginians are unhappy with the traditional two party candidates to give him a good chance of winning in November. He told people he wants the government out of Virginians' pocketbooks and bedrooms.
"I think the most important thing to realize is in the slow economy with a lot of jobless people we really need intelligent economic policy that's focused on creating open and competitive markets," he said.
Sarvis says his background in economics, law, and technology will enable him - if elected - to develop that policy.
Sarvis will campaign in Richmond, Albemarle County and Virginia Beach over the next week.
