Round three of talks to improve the Charlottesville Area Transit System and cut down on ride times takes place Monday night. Monday's discussion focuses on changes to routes 2b, 4, 6, and 9 - all part of the southwestern routes.
CAT is looking to meet with its riders to get feedback about how efficient current routes are and how they feel about potential changes. These suggestions come out of the transit study conducted to make CAT more rider-friendly.
"We want to increase our efficiencies while making it more convenient for the passengers. If we can move more people quicker that's our ultimate goal," said Westley Kern, marketing coordinator for CAT.
The suggested changes will go before council in August.
Monday's meeting is underway now at CitySpace and runs until 7:00 p.m.
