The Waynesboro Generals lost 9-2 in their final regular season home game of the year Tuesday night against Harrisonburg.

Covington also lost 2-0 at home against Rockbridge, which drops the Generals Magic Number to clinch a playoff spot to one.

One win by Waynesboro or a loss by Covington will put the Generals in the playoffs.

Waynesboro had just two hits against the Turks on YMCA Night at Kate Collins Field.

A giant waterslide was set up on the hill in right field for the kids.

Staunton has already clinched a playoff spot, and fell 2-0 in its home finale against New Market.

The Braves entered the match 1 1/2 games behind the second-place Rebels in the VBL South Division.

The top-four teams from each division make the playoffs, with the #1 and #2 seeds in each division having home field advantage.
