The Staunton Braves beat Woodstock 5-3 in the Valley Baseball League Monday night.
Aaron Weisberg pitched a complete game for the Braves, allowing five hits, while striking out five.
Phil Lipari went 3-for-4 with two runs scored to lead the Staunton offense.
The Braves move to within 1 1/2 games of second place New Market in the South Division, after the Rebels lost 6-1 at Aldie.
Staunton has four games left in its season, and will host New Market Tuesday at 7:30 PM.
Waynesboro was idle Monday night, and will welcome in Harrisonburg at seven o'clock Tuesday.
Tuesday night's action will be the final home games of the regular season for both the Generals and the Braves.
