Documents Reveal More Details in Birdwood Ct. Shooting

Posted: Updated:

There are new details about the moments that led up to the officer-involved shooting on Birdwood Court.

Josue Salinas Valdez was shot in the stomach by Officer William Underwood in May. Now, court documents reveal that Salinas Valdez punched Underwood in the face at least three times, and gained control of his baton after being stunned with a Taser.

Court documents also say that Salinas Valdez had the bullet removed just last week. Police requested it to compare it to Underwood's gun.

Salinas Valdez, who has since recovered, has a trial set for February.
