The races for Albemarle County supervisor and Charlottesville City Council are heating up. Friday, we're learning who is having fundraising success with public donations.
For the Jack Jouett seat - through June 30 - Diantha McKeel has raised more than $27,000, But Phillip Seay only has raised $1,800.
In the Rio District, Brad Sheffield has raised more than $13,000 to incumbent Rodney Thomas' $8,000.
In the Samuel Miller Race, Lizbeth Palmer's more than $29,000 in donations overshadows incumbent Duane Snow's $11,000.
There are four candidates running for two open spots on Charlottesville City Council.
As of June 30, Kristin Szakos - an incumbent - has raised $6,700 dollars, outpacing Mike Farruggio's $4,100 total, Buddy Weber's $3,700 and Bob Fenwick's $1,200 total.
Election Day is November 5.
