Generals Fall In Extra Innings In VBL Matinee

The Waynesboro Generals lost 4-3 in 10 innings against Covington Wednesday afternoon in a Valley Baseball League match-up.

First pitch at Kate Collins Field came at 12:34 pm.

Eric Murphy scored the tying run for the Lumberjacks in the 8th inning, as well as the winning run in the 10th.

Tyler Bocock led Waynesboro with two hits, a run, and an RBI.

The Generals were back in action Wednesday night, and lost 13-2 at Harrisonburg.

The first-place Turks pounded out 14 hits in the win.

Staunton kept pace with a 2-0 victory at New Market.

Aaron Weisberg stuck out six batters in 6.2 innings for the win.
