People across central Virginia are feeling a little better about the economy, according to a recent survey.
The University of Virginia's Jefferson Area Community Survey surveyed more than 1,000 adults in the city of Charlottesville as well as Albemarle, Nelson, Greene, Fluvanna and Louisa counties.
Overall, 36.5 percent feel the economy is better off now than a year ago. A year from now, about 30 percent expect to be better off and about 46.5 percent expect good times for business.
