UVa's Moses And VA Tech's Tyler On Lombardi Watch List
Virginia senior offensive tackle Morgan Moses and Virginia Tech senior linebacker Jack Tyler have been named to the preseason watch list for the Lombardi Award, which is given out each season to the nation's top college lineman or linebacker.
Moses is on the watch list for the second year in a row.
The 6-foot-6, 335-pound senior had previously been named to the Outland Trophy watch list, which goes to the best interior lineman.
Moses has started 31 of the Cavaliers 37 games during his first three seasons, including seven as a true freshman.
While he is on the Lombardi watch list, the Hokies' Tyler did not make the watch list for the Butkus Award, which was also released Monday, and is given out to the top linebacker in the country.
The first-team All ACC selection was third in the conference with 119-tackles last year.
He was previously on the watch list for the Nagurski Award, which is given out to the nation's top defender.
