Dick Woods Road in Albemarle County is still closed Saturday night after heavy storms washed out a section of the road Friday.
The road collapsed after two steel support pipes under it washed away.
Virginia Department of Transportation crews were working to install two new plastic pipes at the site earlier Saturday.
VDOT thought the repairs could be made by the end of Saturday, but workers say high water levels are slowing down the process.
Crews will work through the weekend and hope to have the road open Monday morning.
