The Waynesboro Generals and Staunton Braves split a doubleheader at Gypsy Hill Park Friday night with the Generals claiming game one, 3-2 and Braves taking game two, 8-5.
The first game was rescheduled from July 1st after a lighting malfunction in the 4th inning with the game tied at 2-2.
The Generals scored one run in the fifth inning to secure the 3-2 victory in the first game.
The teams only played 7 1/2 innings due to rain in the second game.
Braves reliever Dominic DeMasi was the winning pitcher, as he only allowed one hit in three innings pitched with two strike outs.
Staunton's right fielder Blake Sipe had a standout game with three RBI's and one run.
The Generals and Braves will meet again Saturday night at 7 PM at Kate Collins Field.
