Staunton Rallies To Beat Harrisonburg In Valley League Baseball

Zac Fisher scored on a Frank Grandinette single in the bottom of the 9th inning, and Staunton rallied to beat Harrisonburg 2-1 Thursday night in the Valley Baseball League.

The Turks held a 1-0 lead until the 6th inning, when James Vasquez scored on a single by Fisher.

Staunton (18-12) is now four games behind first place Harrisonburg (23-9) in the Southern Division standings.

The Braves will host Waynesboro in a doubleheader Friday, with the first pitch scheduled for 5:30.

The Generals game at Rockbridge Thursday night was rained out.
