Harrisonburg Police Department
On July 9, the Harrisonburg Police Department responded to numerous reports of vandalism to vehicles. The incidents occurred between July 8 at approximately 10:00 p.m. and July 9 at approximately 6:00 a.m.
It appears that nine vehicles were targeted and had windows shot out of their cars by either a BB gun or pellet gun. These incidents occurred in the 700 block of Wyndham Woods, 800 block of Hillside Avenue, 1000 block of Chestnut Drive, 200 block of West Avenue, and the 900 block of South Dogwood Drive.
The Harrisonburg Police Department estimates approximately $2,000.00 worth of damage was done during this incident. It has also been determined that the Rockingham County Sheriff's Office is investigating similar incidents that occurred during the same time period.
