A grand jury is set to hear the case of a former employee charged with stealing jewelry from people who live in an assisted living home.
Wanda Sharell Cousins, 51, appeared in Albemarle General District Court Thursday morning and waived a preliminary hearing.
Cousins is charged with grand larceny and eight counts of selling stolen property that belonged to people at Rosewood Village assisted living home in Charlottesville, where she was previously employed.
The grand jury will hear the case on August 5.
