The Charlottesville-Albemarle Airport is allowing access to a treasured tree.
Signs are up on the fence surrounding the Earlysville White Oak, explaining how to get a closer view. The airport put up the fence around the 250-year-old tree in March to prevent liability and security issues.
The signs direct people who want an up-close look to call the airport or fill out a request form online 48 hours before your visit.
