Conversations of water and
economic development were on the agenda at Wednesday night's Board of
Supervisors meeting in Fluvanna County.
The board voted 5-0 to
hold a public hearing next month about a potential partnership with Aqua Virginia.
The county attorney
brought to light some legal and financial concerns with the current proposal,
which is why many in attendance were upset that the board decided to move
forward with the hearing.
The board, however, says
it is simply a chance for the public to learn more about the proposal and
provide feedback - not a final approval of the partnership.
