Albemarle County supervisors are supporting a plan to open a visitors center in the new Crozet Library. The lower level would house an "adventure outpost."

The county says the space could promote attractions for groups like the Monticello Wine Trail, Shenandoah National Park, and Charlottesville Albemarle Convention & Visitors Bureau.

Albemarle has budgeted $150,000 to outfit the outpost. The county recouped some of the cost by leasing extra space in the library's lower level.
