TEDxCharlottesville to Host First Event in November

On Friday, November 15th 2013, TEDxCharlottesville will host
its first TEDx event, "TEDxCharlottesville - The Difference That Makes a
Difference" at The Paramount Theater in Charlottesville, Virginia with a
special satellite stream at The Jefferson Theater.
TEDxCharlottesville is the first standard TEDx event in
will be a seminal event in the history of downtown Charlottesville seeking to
stimulate passionate, local citizens to see their world and their community in
extraordinary new ways in the context of both realism and optimism. While the
main event of TEDxCharlottesville will be November 15th, the effect of
over 1,000 thinkers and doers coming together with the expressed purpose of
sharing stimulating ideas will extended far beyond the initial presentation our
20+ speakers and entertainers who come from all over the country." -

TEDxCharlottesville originally launched in December 2012 to
create a space for "Ideas Worth Spreading." TEDxCharlottesville aims to contribute
to strengthening the cultural atmosphere of our city by creating a united
environment amongst the speakers, volunteer staff members, and participants.
The event will be held on November 15, 2013, from 9:00 a.m.
to 5:00 p.m. at the Paramount Theater with a live remote event at The Jefferson
Theater. Following the Speaker conference, there will be a reception and live
music at the Jefferson Theater starting at 7:00pm. Complimentary food and
drink will be provided throughout the day and evening.
