Inmate to Serve 18 Months for Prisoner Escape

An escaped convict in Augusta County extended his stay in prison Monday.

Shawn Milton Barb took off last August while working at the regional landfill in Jollivue. He was an inmate at the Cold Springs Correctional Unit in Greenville at the time. Authorities caught him the same day.

Barb pleaded guilty to prisoner escape and will spend 18 months in prison for the charge.
