Charlottesville Fire Department Investigates House Fire on Anderson St.
Firefighters on scene at 925 Anderson Street
Firefighters responded to the report of a house fire at 925 Anderson Street in Charlottesville Monday morning.
The Charlottesville Fire Department confirms that the fire started in the kitchen of the home near the stove. The official cause of the fire has not been identified.
The fire department also confirms that nobody was seriously injured in the blaze but that some people are getting checked for smoke inhalation. According to the fire department, the two residents of the home on Anderson Street will require relocation, which the Red Cross plans to assist with.
The top of Anderson Street was closed for a short time Monday but was open again by 1 p.m.
