The Virginia Women's soccer team has about two months until their season gets underway and Friday, June 28, their 2013 schedule was released.
The schedule has a new look with some new names on it including Syracuse, Pittsburgh, and Notre Dame who are joining the ACC this year.
The ACC champion Wahoo's will play a dozen teams which made it to the postseason last year, including national champ North Carolina and runner up Penn State.
UVA Head coach Steve Swanson says he's looking forward to the challenging schedule. Swanson stated, "This is definitely the most challenging schedule we've had. I mean the addition of the three teams in the ACC - Pittsburgh, Syracuse and Notre Dame I think that makes the ACC even more competitive then it was...We have some very good non-conference games like Santa Clara and Penn State coming which are traditionally quite good so our non-conference schedule will be very difficult and our conference schedule will be as tough as its ever been. Probably even tougher than last year which I though was the toughest we've had in my time here."
