Veterans from across the commonwealth will come together to find solutions to an issue that is hitting them hard.
The Veterans of Foreign Wars post 2216 will host its third annual Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder Forum Presentation on Wednesday. This year the forum will also discuss suicide awareness and prevention.
"But this year it seems because of the high rate of suicides, because of people coming back from Iraq and Afghanistan wars, but we're finding now that PTSD is recognized from some of the more senior veterans at the same time, and so this is a dual response," said Commander Mac McCauley, with VFW Post 2216.
The forum is from 9:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at VFW Post 2216 in Staunton off Frontier Drive.
