The Virginia baseball team will have a new closer at the back of the bullpen for the fourth year in a row next season, as junior Kyle Crockett has agreed to a deal with the Cleveland Indians.
Crockett signed for a reported assigned slotted bonus of $463,000.
He had twelve saves for the Wahoos this past season, with a o1.7- ERA.
The lefthander struck out 71 batters in 58 innings, walking just seven, while earning All ACC and All-American honors.
Crockett is the third and final UVA draftee to sign, as seniors Reed Gragnani and Scott Silverstein had previously cut deals with the Red Sox and Blue Jays, respectively.
