The recent rain has led to some construction delays on the Ragged Mountain Dam. Crews are currently working to place the soil layers, because the underground foundation work for the new earthen dam is complete.
The Rivanna Water and Sewer Authority says the contractor estimates the rain set them back two to three days. However, the contractor does not expect that to have a significant impact on the completion of the project.
It should be done March of 2014.
