Crash Involving Police Cruiser Sends 2 to Hospital

A collision involving an Albemarle County police cruiser sent a detective and another driver to the hospital early Thursday morning. 

Around 12:30 a.m., an Albemarle detective in an unmarked vehicle was responding to a call for backup when it collided with another vehicle at the intersection of Commonwealth Drive and Greenbrier Drive. 

There were no major injuries, and the collision is still under investigation.
