Abundant Life Ministries Receives Donation from Jail

A Charlottesville nonprofitis celebrating a generous donation. Abundant Life Ministries received a checkfor more than $2,600 from the Albemarle-Charlottesville Regional Jail Tuesdayafternoon. 

The proceeds come fromthis year's benefit golf tournament. 

Abundant Life Ministriessays the money will help support its kindergarten through eighth-gradeprograms. 

"It's an after schooltutoring program with one on one tutoring support. The funds will be used tohelp supply the kids with snacks, the materials they need for the tutoringprogram, and rewards and incentives along the way," said Richard Feero,Americorps director at Abundant Life Ministries. 

For the last four years,the regional jail has donated part of the golf tournament's proceeds to adifferent charity.
