Waynesboro PD, Chik-fil-A Partner to Promote Safe Driving
Volunteers give Chik-fil-A coupons to people wearing their seatbelts
Chik-fil-A and the Waynesboro Police Department partnered on Tuesday to promote safety on the roads and good driving.
Volunteers handed out coupons for free chicken sandwiches to drivers that passed by the downtown area and were wearing their seatbelts.
"We've been able to give out numerous coupons. We have a lot of people coming through. Compliance with the law has been great and we couldn't do it without the folks at Chick-fil-A being a part of it," said Sgt. Brian Edwards of the Waynesboro Police Department.
Volunteers handed out about 200 coupons. They were happy most people were wearing their belts.
