Man Involved in Cville Police Chase to Appear in Court

Posted: Updated:

A man who led police on a car chase is planning to plead guilty to felony charges.

The Assistant Commonwealth's Attorney for Charlottesville Joseph Platania told an open court that Marcell Turner plans to plead guilty to malicious wounding, felony hit-and-run and other related charges.

Police arrested Turner in April following a car chase where police say he rammed two unmarked police cars and injured an officer.

Turner's next court appearance is on June 24.

The grand jury indicted Turner on the same charges Monday.
