A Weyers Cave man arrested on rape charges back in September for the sexual assault of a teenage girl was found guilty in court Friday.

The trial revolved around the night when the alleged victim's silence ended. Both sides say Rosendo Ernesto Juarez, a 37-year-old man, had an inappropriate relationship with a 13-year-old girl.

Prosecutors say it started as unwanted late-night massages and sleep overs in the girl's bedroom. The defense said that's where the line was drawn.

A member of the family said she had her suspicions, but went to the police after confronting the victim.

The prosecution presented forensic evidence, including semen and blood found on the girl's bed sheet and underpants.

The jury recommended a life sentence.
