Charlottesville Man Arrested for Animal Cruelty

A Charlottesville man is in trouble with the law for animal cruelty.      

Police arrested Nathaniel Mickens, 26, after police say they found his dog malnourished on Wednesday.      

According to police, a pit bull was found on the second floor of a home chained, without food or water nearby.     

The dog was taken to the SPCA. If Mickens is found guilty, he could face up to a year in jail.
