Guilty Plea Entered in Charlottesville Robbery Trial
A man accused in a pair of robberies pleaded guilty Monday morning in Charlottesville Circuit Court.
Javanta Anderson entered into a plea agreement with the prosecution. He pleaded guilty to two counts of larceny and possessing a gun during a felony.
He originally faced 4 felony charges for two robberies in December 2011. In both cases, police say Anderson approached the victim, pulled out a gun and demanded money. The first incident happened along the 700 block of Cherry Avenue, the second happened about a half hour later along the 700 block of Prospect Avenue.
Anderson is scheduled for sentencing in August.
