Hundreds of people are in Fluvanna County walking around the clock to fight cancer.

Fluvanna's second annual Relay for Life kicked off Saturday afternoon with a survivor's lap. Cancer survivors led the pack, cheered on by supportive teammates.

The relay has already raised more than $91,000 - just short of its $100,000 goal.

"The community really came together to fight cancer. A small community like Fluvanna County that has 25,000 people in it - we're going to raise over $100,000.  I just think it's amazing," said Corven Flynn, member of the Fork Union Baptist relay team.

The relay continues until 7 a.m. Sunday at Fluvanna County Middle School.

The pajama lap, a food fight, and a tug of war are still to come. Anyone can come out and register and join the fun at any time overnight.
