Albemarle HS Baseball Player Justin Vestal Signs with West Virginia Tech

Posted: Updated:

Albemarle High School baseball player Justin Vestal signed his national letter of intent to play ball at West Virginia Tech on Thursday.

Vestal played both outfield and catcher this season for the Patriots.  He's a good defensive player with a strong arm and fits a need for West Virginia Tech.

Vestal says, "I went there on an official visit a few months ago and I fell in love with the campus, loved the baseball field, fit in well with everyone down there. That's all she wrote, I love it."

Albemarle HS baseball coach Jimmy Bibb says about Vestal, "He's versatile, I think the fact that he can catch as well as play in the outfield helps them (West Virginia Tech), I think that's what they were looking for.  When he went to Concord University's baseball camp I think they saw something in Justin they thought they could use."
