The deadline for paying your tax bills in Albemarle County is right around the corner.
Tax bills for personal property and real estate are due on Wednesday.
There is a 10 percent late payment penalty if the bills are not paid on time. County officials say customers have a variety of options to pay their taxes.
"We've tried to put in place as many ways as we can to make it convenient for people to pay their bills. They can come in here to the county office building, they can do it by phone, they can do it online. You can use cash, check, credit card, so hopefully there's a convenient option that will work for everybody who's looking to need to pay their taxes by Wednesday," said Lee Catlin, spokesperson for Albemarle County.
There are three drop box locations for those who want to pay in person. See the release below for more information.
