A Staunton man is behind bars, accused of stabbing another man during an argument early Sunday morning. Eighteen-year-old John Lee Alphin, Jr. is charged with felony assault.
Staunton police say he stabbed a man in the stomach just after midnight Sunday in the 2,500 block of Third Street. Investigators say the two men knew each other.
The victim was not seriously injured.
Alphin is being held at Middle River Regional Jail.
