Orange County, VA - Orange County announced today the launch of its newly designed website: orangecountyva.gov.
The new site was approved by the Board of Supervisors as part of the FY13 Budget and has been in development since Fall, 2012. As defined in the Board’s Fourteen Priorities, this site has been designed to enhance communication efforts with Orange County residents and increase interaction between government and citizens.
The crisp, new site provides improved functionality for its users including: a "notify me" function, as well as an alert center and a citizen input section. The fresh organization of the redesigned site features pages that provide easy access to the Board’s agendas and minutes, recordings of Board meetings, a staff directory, and direct access to current County news, a calendar of events, job opportunities, bid postings, and more.
Board of Supervisors Chairman S. Teel Goodwin stated, "We are pleased that the new site has launched and know that it will be a great tool for citizens to access up-to-date information about the County."
