CNET Co-Founder Halsey Minor Files for Personal Bankruptcy
Technology entrepreneur and Charlottesville native Halsey Minor has filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy.
The Wall Street Journal reports that the University of Virginia graduate has filed in a Los Angeles federal court.
Minor is founder of CNET, a technology website that reviews various computer products.CNET was sold for nearly $2 billion in 2008.
Minor's company has suffered a number of high dollar investments in recent years including the Landmark Hotel project, which sat uncompleted on the downtown mall for years before an Atlanta-based developer won the hotel in a bankruptcy auction last year.
