A grandfather has been charged with reckless driving after a golf cart crash in Mineral.
Virginia State Police say eight people were on the golf cart when it overturned at about 2:45 p.m. Monday. The accident happened along Lake Forest Drive.
Seven of the eight occupants have minor injuries. One person was airlifted to UVA Medical Center with serious, non-life threatening injuries.
CLARIFICATION: All eight occupants of the golf cart were injured, not seven which was previously reported.

At approximately 2:45 p.m., May 27, Virginia State Police investigated a crash on Route 1304, Lake Forest Drive, at Route 1322, Beauregard Way, in Louisa County.The crash occurred when the driver of a 2005 EZGO golf cart, who was traveling north on Lake Forest Drive, lost control of the golf cart and overturned coming to rest onto its passenger side.Seven of the eight occupants suffered minor injuries and were transported to UVA Medical Center. The eighth occupant suffered serious non-life threatening injuries and was flown to UVA Medical Center.The driver of the golf cart was charged with reckless driving. Driver: John R.
