The Virginia track and field team had four athletes qualify for the NCAA Championships this weekend at the East Preliminary rounds in North Carolina.
The Cavaliers' Abbey Karin, Barbara Strehler, Thomas Porter, and Mark Amirault will all represent UVa in Eugene, Oregon next month.
Amirault will run in the 5,000 meter finals for the first time in his final year of eligibility at Virginia.
He ran a time of 14:00.54, and placed 2nd.
The junior Porter finished 7th in the 10,000 meters to qualify for that race.
Strehler is a junior from Richmond, and set a PR with a time of 16:07.70 seconds to grab the final spot in the women's 5K.
That's the 4th fastest time in school history.
Karin advanced to in the NCAA Championships with a ninth place finish in the women's javelin.
She threw 47.60m (156'2") to qualify for the NCAA meet for the first time in her career.
